Black Voices in Poetry

Celebrate Black History Month with the Escondido Public Library!

This year, we are joined by another local author and UCSD African and Comparative Literature professor, Dr. Gabriel Bámgbóṣé. Join us as he tells us all about his esteemed poetry collection, Something Happened After the Rain, which explores the unpredictable nature of life - using rain as a central metaphor for joy, loss, grace, and hardship. Dr. Bámgbóṣé will also perform a poetry reading!

Located in Mershops North County Community Room Level 2
